In order to get perfect gas block/gas port alignment, I had to shave off 20 thou off the gas block )muzzle side). If not the muzzle device would have sat against the gas block.

action screw

The front action screw for the Howa 1500 is appropriately 1/16” too long. There either needs to be a washer added like the savage model or the screw needs to be shortened to around 0.715”.

This muzzle break is great for the money. It is pretty good at reducing recoil. And for the price, you really can't beat it. Fit and finish are good and the threads came clean. I would buy this again.

Don't spend upwards of $100 on a charging handle......For what they are, they're way over-priced. This one works great, it's extended, and costs what it is worth. I will use these on all my future builds.
Incredible deal

This is an incredible deal, AP makes good stuff. I have done extensive research when building my AR and I don't think you can find a better deal than this. What makes this upper extra special, is that is has a nylon-tipped set screw right by the grip screw. This secures the upper to the lower to take away any wiggle for better accuracy. There is not much wiggle to begin with.

Absolutely no play at all. This thing is very stiff, which I like. At first I thought something was wrong because for the life of me I could not get the tube out of the stock. The fit is just very tight.
