The Stainless guide rod allows for the spring to be replaced so that you can tune the poundage for the guide rod assembly. The actual process of swapping the springs is straightforward but for the constant threat of slipping and launching the washer into orbit. The rod itself is out of spec, just a hair too short. Thus, it works for determining the best spring weight for a custom Glock build, but I would not trust an out of spect rod for anything other than as a temporary test part. As soon as my new part arrives this rod will be exiled to my extra parts bin.

This is a good, comfortable and effective stock at a reasonable price. I would recommend it.

I purchased the Glock 17 Apprentice slide in Artic Laser Blue. It is a cool looking slide with nice lines and a great looking color. Upon close inspection, there is some uneveness in the application of the Cerakote and a few minor rough spots. The thickness of the Cerakote caused a few functional issues at first, including slide drag and difficulty fitting the slide plate. I used some fine grain sandpaper and that fixed the issues.

The grip has a nice appearance and is very light. It is comfortable to use and functional. I will say that the fit was very tight to the point of almost not fitting. I had to heat the grip multiple times to get it to expand enough to get it seated and I still had to use a mallet to tap it into position. It works a d looks great but it would be very difficult to remove. It was definitely the most difficulty grip installation I've ever had.

I have read that Hornady used Research Proof barrels when testing the 6mm Arc and I believe it. I am a fan of the 6mm Arc and own multiple rifles chambered in the round. I have used it extensively in hunting and at the range. My Research Proof barrel is easily the most accurate Arc barrel I own, often shooting half MOA. The quality is apparent both in the aesthetics and the performance. I paired the barrel with a JP Enterprises BCG and I could not be more pleased. I highly recommend it.

The piece looks great, matching the photographs. It also matched other Timber Creek pieces that I purchased of the same color. It is visually striking and functional. I recommend it to anyone wanting a unique style for their AR.

The slide looks like the pictures, functional, but nothing special. The traction grooves on the front of the slide are shallow and even a little sharp. I bought the slide that included the parts kit, and that was a mistake. The extractor rod was out of spec and unuseable. I ordered a new rod from another manufacturer and tested it at the range. I had light primer strikes. To make sure that it wasn't the shells, I shot the same rounds through three different Glock 19 pistols without an issue. I then replaced all of the slide parts with a premium parts and the slide functioned well. However, this was only after spending almost as much on third part replacement parts as I did on the slide. I was looking to build an inexpensive slide and that is not the result. I should have returned it when I first noticed the issue with the extractor rod.

This scope has great features that one normally associates with much more expensive scopes. The glass is good but it is a value scope so you can't expect high clarity. It is first focal plane, which I like but some of my older friends complained about the fineness of the reticle at low magnification (although illumination helped). The turrets are easy to turn but lock firmly when pushed down after adjustment. The adjustments are accurate and the scope holds a zero well. I have purchased three of these scopes and the only issue I have found is that one of the reticles had a small blemish in the upper left hand quadrant that was not enough of an irritant to request an exchange. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a quality value scope.

This a nice inexpensive scope that is a great value for the price. The center crosshairs are a bit thick for very small targets and the glass quality is average. For budget gun, I would recommend it.

The slide worked and functioned perfectly. It lacks some of the cosmetic refinement of some slide manufacturers that charge twice the price. The look is accurate to the photographs. It is not for everyone's taste but for those who want something outside the the box it is a great option.
