This thing is the best. Cheek weld and adjustability is great and the storage is a perfect place to hide a couple batteries or even a couple smokes. I’ve got a Hoptic saddle blanket on mine and it makes things even more smooth and keeps any whiskers from getting pulled at. Can’t go wrong with this.

There are maybe 4 companies that offer a reliable way to control the exhaust from your pew pew. SA is one of those companies.
This block uses set screws and also has a boss if you want to drill/pin it to your barrel. Gas adjustment is easy and repeatable with the included Allen wrench.
This one in FDE is the finishing touch to my Gucci pistol build. It is NOT shiny, but it has a satin finish and closely matches the FDE gear from Forward Controls and Geissele.

I like this piece. It’s light and the anodizing is one of those shades “close” to ODG, with the finish being smooth. The sling QD is fully functional and silky. There was zero warp and the fit was absolutely perfect. Not even that expensive!! Pretty close match to the FCD green upper.

Super handy to have these for short money.

I have standard size roll pin punches but without these, you’re still going to have that struggle of getting roll pins started with proper alignment.

I’ve been told that only a few places actually make these parts, then companies rebrand them for distribution.

If that’s true then V Seven must have a pile of people picking out the best ones, with perfectly consistent finish and absolute tolerances.

When I pick up a V Seven part, whether titanium end plate/castle nut or these bolt catch parts or their sick carbine buffer tubes (11 positions!) I know these parts will last and function longer than I’ll need them to. Heirloom quality parts, and yes, your wallet will feel it.

This is as much a piece of art as much as it is the heart of my 6.8 SPC hog gun.

The fit and obviously the finish is beyond most all other BCGs, and the quality of the carrier steel (aircraft quality 8620 treated to 60-61 Rockwell) and bolt (Carpenter 158) is certainly worth the few extra bucks. MPI inspected and HP batch tested. The finish is so smooth and deep, it almost looks like a powder coat as opposed to chrome, but that’s only because Cryptic is so good at what they do.

The case size of the 6.8 being around .420”requires a thinner bolt face than the standard bolt fact, so the peace of mind and potentially added reliability means something when a couple hundred pounds of angry razor toothed meat decides they don’t like you. The idea that the rifle might go “click” instead of “bang” doesn’t enter my mind when I pick up this rifle. This bolt headspaced perfectly with my 14.5 ARP and rides slick in the WMD upper.

Yes. It’s a beautiful BCG, with a perfect finish and flawless functionality. Headspace was perfect with my ARP 14.5 barrel and with the smaller bolt rim size I wanted to have something that I could have 100% confidence in.

This particular finish looks like a deep chrome finish and the logo is almost a shadow effect.

This is my forever hog gun and I built it to last generations. I feel like this Cryptic BCG was the best I could hope for, and it’s not even that pricey!
