My wife and I both are members of the Single Action Shooting Society. One of my reasons for joining was to help relive the "old days of the West." I like the old west calibers that have made the cross over to modern smokeless powder from black powder. The .38-55 Winchester is one of my favorites of these old cowboy calibers. It is accurate in my Henry Side Gate rifle, very effective hunting deer and boars, and just links me to the illusion of a by-gone era.
These HSM .38-55 rounds are very much like those of the old days, but with modern primers and powders. What more could one want.
