I have been shooting my Officer’s model for about a year. I talked to the Gunsmith, who said it would be a good idea to swap out the recoil spring. I ordered the spring and installed it in my Officer’s model, which was very easy. I took it to the range, and there were no issues. I shot hardball ammo and a few magazines of hollow points without any issues. I would recommend that if you shoot an Officer's model, you keep an extra recoil spring in your gun kit or range bag, just in case you ever start to have a few feeding failures.
