Very light and works great

Written on Jan 11, 2026

Mine went on without issues. Torque it as recommended and I would guess you'll have no problems. I was surprised how rigid and light it is. Finish seems hard and durable, but time will tell.

Good but not quite as advertised

Written on Jan 10, 2026

Barrel shoots really well, machining and finish are excellent. Overall I'm satisfied with it. The only problem is that it's really not a pencil barrel and the actual profile does not match the profile shown in the pictures. It does not step down in diameter in front of the gas block journal and what I would call full diameter the whole length. It's more of a medium weight barrel and probably several ounces heavier than the one pictured. I specifically bought this because it looked like it would be lighter than other 300 barrels of the same length. Actual weight is 17.5 oz.

Best 9mm Barrel I've had

Written on Aug 21, 2024

I'm very pleased with this barrel. I got it because it's the lightest 16" 9mm barrel I could find and it cut out over 1/4 pound of weight off the front end of my PCC. I don't understand why all the factory 9mm PCC barrels are so heavy. The feed cone is wider and has a bigger radius on it than other 9mm barrels I've used, so feed reliability has been 100% even using flat point cast bullets. Accuracy has been excellent, but I've only shot it at 25 yards. At this distance everything has been gone into one ragged hole. Finish is perfect too. I don't see why this isn't a more popular barrel.

Really noticable difference

Written on Aug 13, 2024

I'm pretty impressed with this ingenious device overall. As others have mentioned it does really increase the force required to charge the firearm. I'm using it with a side charger setup which helps mitigate that. It also came with no instructions. It's easy to get it installed but the amount of preload will greatly affect its effectiveness as well as the charging effort. Preload can be adjusted be screwing the buffer tube in or out a thread at a time. More preload means less charging effort and less delay in the blowback, i.e. it behaves more like regular blowback. I guess it makes it kinda nice that it can be adjusted that way, but there are no instructions telling you that. It does make a big difference in the feel of a 9mm blowback gun. The recoil is way less jarring and the return to battery is muck smoother feeling too. It also ended up making my gun a few ounces lighter. It's cheaper than any other delayed blowback option that i know of, and I think well worth the price.

Works and fits well

Written on Aug 13, 2024

Fit was fine on my billet lower. Size and angle are very similar to an MOE grip but it's cheaper and a bit lighter. The texture is the only thing I'm not real thrilled about. I wish it were a bit more aggressive, but it's not bad. For the price I doubt there is anything else significantly better.

Best cheap 22 ammo

Written on Aug 09, 2024

My experience with this ammo has been great. It's very comparable to mini-mag in my experience, and much better than any of the big name bulk pack cheap stuff. I've gone through several hundred of these without any misfires. They expand (at least when shot into water) even when shot out of pistols. Chronograph velocity actually exceeds the mini mag. The accuracy isn't quite as good, but they are much cheaper.

Really nice targets

Written on Jun 13, 2024

This is an unbelievable deal: under 40 buck for 100 targets? Yes and they aren't some thin and easily torn targets either. I'm impressed with the weight and thickness of these. They also don't seem to have as much "memory" as other targets meaning they don't have as much tendency to return to their rolled up shape once they're out of the box. I might buy some more.

Works but not comfortable

Written on Apr 22, 2024

I bought this to try with an Arex Delta M. Fit was pretty good, but the retention was a little sloppy allowing some movement in/out. I like the retention and release method, and it is adjustable, however I couldn't get it adjusted to my liking. I also found it too be surprisingly stiff and bulky: not a good combination for concealment or comfort. I ended up returning it.

Great sights

Written on Dec 28, 2023

I'm really impressed with these so far. I got the U-notch type that is very similar to the Trijicon HD which i also have on another gun. Comparing the two, the Night Fision sights are brighter (Trij sights are 2 years old) and also lower profile. The Night Fisions are almost exactly the same size as the factory sights. The bright yellow ring and U-notch make for a quick to acquire sight picture. Fitting them to the side required a bit of fitting but no more than any other sights.

Not impressed, doesn't fit 1.5" belts

Written on Dec 27, 2023

It's advertised to fit 1.5" belts, but none of my 1.5" belts would fit through the loops. The slots are about 1/16" too short for my belts. I tried it with a thin 1" wide belt (not a gun belt) to see how it fit. It kinda works but I was disappointed in how bulky and rigid it is. It's some kind of hybrid plastic/leather or synthetic leather and very very stiff. It doesn't conform to my hip at all. The slot area doesn't curve around the hip and feels like having a board strapped to my side. Too bad... It's almost a good design: it does fit the gun well, and I like the retention method. I've had other Safariland holsters in the past that worked great, but this one is going back.
