Review for
Zero Tolerance 3.6in Emerson Folding Knife
Just received the Zero Tolerance/Emerson 0620 collaboration, the version with the G10 grip.
Pros:
- Craftsmanship and construction are top notch. Great finished product. Smooth rounded edges.
- Good solid feel in the hand. Nice weight to the knife. Not too heavy for EDC.
- Blade action is smooth.
- Nice balance to the knife with the blade deployed. Index finger notch is comfortable and deep to prevent your hand from sliding up to the blade.
- Overall the knife is surprisingly thin for how thick the blade is. Guess that's a benefit of the frame lock. It is thinner than my Emerson CQC-7V which has a thinner blade and is a liner lock.
Con:
- This is only day one and a break-in period is understandable, but the retaining belt clip is extremely tight. To the point where the knife is difficult to pull from the pocket and effectively use the "wave" to deploy the blade. A slight modification to the belt clip to bend it out just a bit would make a big improvement.
