It does what it is supposed to do but you can not see the green laser during daylight at any distance beyond 7 yards and even at that distance it is hard to see. I bought this as a training aid to improve my hit ratio when shooting steel at 15 yards. At night of course the LaserMax is doing fine. Unfortunately "steel challenge" is shot during the day. Therefore for my purpose the LaserMax is useless if I compare it with the very strong Viridian green laser which I have on my S&W Shield 9mm carry guns. I hope that LaserMax will improve their products since one expects in particular a green laser to be much more visible than a red laser.

this is a good sight for the money. The red dot is clear and visible also in bright sun-light. the C-more sight is very popular among competition shooters on 7 inch barrels in caliber 22 lr, which should speak for itself. The sight-in process is cumbersome with the locking screws. the body of the railway system has not changed for years. Generally speaking it is too high to use the Iron sights for backup. If C-more were to redesign the railway system I would hope they would make the body of the sight lower and shorter. The batteries don't last very long (3 hours at max setting). One positive aspect is that you can buy red dot modules in different m.o.a. sizes. The ring that holds the glass is fragile I had one break when the pistol fell off the table which of course was my fault. The glass inside the ring has a diameter of 30 mm which is nice and large in comparison to other sights. the red dot is not always round depending on your position behind the sight. Regardless whenever the red dot is on target you will hit. I just ordered another red Dot module in 4 m.o.a. I will report on the difference between 8 and 4 m.o.a. later when I had a chance to compare them side-by-side.
