Just what I wanted
Written on Oct 29, 2018
I took a chance on this hand guard, and I'm glad I did. It meets my criteria of balancing lightweight with robust strength characteristics. I also prefer a hand guard without a large circumference, yet ample space for the average low profile gas block. There is no reason to spend two or three times as much money for another had guard of similar quality. My only complaint might be that the wrench for the barrel nut is not included, but the price is fantastic.

FFP, 6-24X50 with pretty good clarity, Yep, I'm happy.

Over the years, I've regretted almost all attempts to save on a scope; however, this BTR 6-24X50 FFP glass is not a strain to look through for a long shooting session, and my new scope's turrets were tactile, reliable, and reasonably accurate. This may be the best glass I've ever used for the price. It doesn't compare to my Viper Gen II, but it's leaps and bounds ahead of MANY other similarly priced scopes I've used, including Bushell, Refield, Millett, etc. The thickness of the reticle at high power is a bit clumsy, but I'll deal with it for the $320 I paid for it. The Athlon was exactly what I needed for my Valkyrie build, and I'll buy another one.
