I have this dot on an M&P core. It installed easy and initially I loved it. But in the last week the dot has started to drift up after zero in and only 10 - 15 rounds fired. The result of course is that my point of impact is quite low. I need to do a few more rounds of adjustment and testing before I call in the pros at Vortex, and I am comforted by the warranty that I know will make this right. I just might have to shoot Production while I'm waiting.

I bought this for my M&P CORE to shoot USPSA Carry Optics. I took my Dawson irons off, put back the factory white dots for co-witness, but the 6 MOA dot is so fast to find (if I do my part right) not sure I'll use the sights much. Install was easy using the plate that came with the CORE. I roughed in the dot using the sights, and when I got to the range, at 20 yards it was zeroed very nicely. I love it! I'd like to find a 5" regular slide to swap out for Production, but I can just take the dot off in about 30 seconds if I really want to...but those factory dot sights are kind of lame - should of bought the suppressor height Dawsons. Live & learn. Or buy another gun - I like that idea too.

I purchased this scope to replace its little brother, a 1-4x, and to top my newly finished 18" SPR. Interestingly, it is actually shorter, and a bit lighter than the older 1-4x. I paired it with a Burris PEPR mount, and installed it last week. About 20 minutes on the range and my groups moved from about 6 inches low right to spot on. The adjustments for elevation and windage were not quite as click-precise as others, but they did the job. I love the reticle, both with the light on, and in daylight, with it off. Ran it in a local 3-gun and with that extra magnification found the small steel at 100 yds definitely easier to hit, and it switched from 1x to 8x in a quick (but a little stiff) twist.

Especially considering the value ($338 shipped with a coupon), I am delighted with the scope. OpticsPlanet delivered expertly, as usual.

Bought this barrel to complete a SPR uppper, and couldn't be happier. The Gunner series are genius, combining high quality machining with light weight. It was an easy install to my stripped upper, and is far more accurate than I am.
