Ive tried over 5 different types of guide rods from stock to the metal type stock ones like RYG's and the stupid pencil type rods with springs and ever one sucked until I found this. The main advantage with this one is that the base of the rod that locks into the bottom of barrel is the same size as the stock springs base. The problem I had with all the other types, stock(cheap and easily bends out of speck) and the metal type( weak and out of spec) was when you shoot, the rods base moves around while which will ruin the rod or bend like the pencil ones or worse your gun because it never stays with the barrel locked in and causes uneven bending/flex while shooting . This one stays put! The second thing I love about this is the spring feels stiff and takes more effort to pull back, unlike the stock that a 2 year old could pull back. This rod is very nice and very good quality. You can go wrong at all with this, well worth it! Thank you Rival Arms for making such an awesome product that should come stock with glocks/
