Review Update!

Written on Apr 12, 2015

Now that I've had an opportunity to actually use this sight at the range, I can say that it has lived up to my expectations in every way. After having shot over 100 rounds of 7.62X25 this sight has performed flawlessly. My CZ 52 was unaffected by having this sight mounted on the slide, and this sight was totally unaffected by firing my pistol. As far as accuracy, once zeroed at 25 yards I was constantly able to keep all eight rounds in a 2 inch group, firing off a sandbag rest. The only issue I had was forgetting to turn off the sight when finished shooting. Changing the battery was quick and easy, following the directions in the owners manual. Zeroing this sight was also very easy, using a laser bore sighter and following directions I was right on at the range. The included cover provides protection of the sight when done shooting. I really can't say enough good things about a $49.00 sight that performs as well as this little XTS Mini Red Dot. For the money, you can't go wrong.

So Far, So Good

Written on Feb 03, 2015

Just mounted this little red dot on an old CZ 52 that I refinished many years ago. At the time I completely removed the front sight and ground the rear sight flush with the top of the slide. Drilled and tapped the slide for a Weaver base and installed this sight. Haven't fired it yet, however when I release the slide the sight is unaffected, so I feel it will deal with the recoil of the 7.62X25 just fine. I will post a more complete review after I've put a few down range. Until then. I'm quite impressed. For a sight costing less than 50 bucks, that's well finished, VERY small, and light weight, I don't see how you can go wrong. Time will tell.

None better for the price!

These rings are all I use on every rifle I build. As a gunsmith building high end rifles based on Mauser actions I look no further when it comes to scope rings. These rings not only provide repeatable accuracy when detached and remounted, they also provide the strength to handle magnum power cartridges. I highly recommend these rings, they are very well machined and finished, and the cost is extremely reasonable. You won't be disappointed.
