Works Well

Written on Jul 27, 2021

I bought this scope as my second thermal monocular and I am really happy with it. The picture is much clearer then my old scope and the thermal sensitivity is much better. It was more of a want than a need, but now I use it every time I hunt

Nice job with it

When I first tried out the night vision monocular, I was a little disappointed. I could see things in a dark room, but not that much better than without. Then I realized that I had not removed the lens cover. There is a tiny hole in the lens cover that allows you to use the monocular in normal light. Once I removed the cap, I was very impressed. Basically you can see very well as long as there is just a slight amount of light, ie. in a room with the door closed and just a tiny amount of light sneaking under the door. Enough so you could make out the light under the door but the room itself is totally dark. With that small amount of light, you can see everything like the lights are on. If you then go into a closet in that dark room, all is black. But even then, you can turn on the IR light and you can see everything. It does require you to focus using the front lens, but it is quick and easy.

Very useful. Recommend!

This scope mounts easily & securely on picatinny rails. It functions flawlessly as a hand held device as well. As advertised, the "black & white" view seems to be much easier on the eye than the "green" view scopes. The ATN PS28-WPT Night Vision scope is a good as it gets.

Sweet hunting baby

Automation has gone so far in this scope that the next gen will probably do butchering and cooking. Features are many and well-implemented. One shot zero is one of my favorites, after the initial shot, I managed to hit a 1-inch target from 100 yards with the 2nd one. The scope uses the ballistic data from the profile manager and makes reticle adjustments without you even noticing that. While team hunting, you can stream what you see with your scope to a mobile gadget so that fellow hunters are also able to see it. It's a great feature for mentoring (together with recoil activated video).
