impossibly fine reticle

Written on Oct 12, 2021

the reticle is what ruins this otherwise nice product. its VERY fine, so fine that that its almost impossible to see when up against grass/trees/bushes/dirt. the only time its ok is when punching paper. this made this scope useless for hunting.

turrets, worked nicely and smooth, and glass is nice and clear.

Laggy, for still sitting targets only,

Written on Nov 21, 2017

first things i like

screen is clear, and has a lot of info like cant and angle.
seems like its very solid.
lense cap is great.
menu system is easy to navigate
IR flashlight is pretty good, but uses 2x cr123 batteries...these will not last long
very good image during night, with very good sensitivity

Things i didnt like

LAG, between 1/4sec and ½sec..its horrible and a deal breaker...i shoot rats at night and the lag is too much, instead of headshots i got gutshots as they managed to move 1"-2" during the lag....i cant imagine using it with moving targets.
Heavy, very heavy
scopemount is 1 piece, wish it was 2 piece
zoom is digital, not optical, so it gets more grainy as you zoom
focus dial is very tight and hard to move, hard to get right at night
drained highend AA rechargeable in 45 minutes, got 1.5hr out of duracell lithium, battery pack needed
flashlight uses cr123 batteries
as a daytime scope the picture is pretty good until you start zooming, then it becomes grainy
kinda slow to boot up

i have to say i could live with most of its cons, but the lag really bothered me, also surprised that for the size and weight that they couldnt add optical zoom.....on the first night out i got 3 rats, the run along a barn wall and i normally just hold in front of the rat moving and shot....but because of the lag instead of head/heart lung shot, it became gut shots...the scope developed glitch in the picture ever 5-7 seconds....so it went back. back to using DIY night vi

for the price its ok

Written on Nov 08, 2016

have had this for a while and can only say it does what it promises....but you might want to think about getting a slightly better model that measures angle as well.

this one works fine measuring bushes and tree's, but as someone else said picking up a golf flag or similar it will require a very steady hold, and sometimes it wont even do it then.

the range is only 600y and since i bought it i have started to do long range shooting out to about a mile, and im now looking for a better model.

overall if you need a basic rangefinder then this is it. if your into archery i would look at one that accounts for angle as well.

so easy, to take off scope and put back on with out having to zero in again

Written on Nov 07, 2016

by far the best scope mount i have ever had.

i use it on my ar15, i wanted to be able to pack the rifle really compact, and wanted a mount that could be taken off and then put pack on without having to zero the rifle and this mount does just so.

i just check that theres no dirt/lint or anything on the rail and on the mount, put it the same place on the rail and then just snap the quick release tight...done

the manual was clear and easy to understand, they recommend a torque wrench, but having mounted many scope i just went with feel, and it clamps the scope very secure.

lot of scope for the money

Written on Nov 07, 2016

when i got a highend airgun i needed a scope for it, i have been overly happy with my trusty bushy 4200 6-24x40...but i wanted something better so i went with this one for a couple of reasons.

i do pest control at dusk and dawn and wanted some 50+mm objective and side paralax, and i wanted it to focus down to about 10m

This scope fit the bill just perfect. the illuminated crosshairs was a bonus.

i mounted it up and together with a cheap china red flashlight i set out to demolish the rat population at my friends farm, and the scope delivered...it was easy to get on paper, the turrets returns to zero almost all the time...once in a while i guess 1/50 adjustments i will be off by a click, no big deal. the low light performance was great...im happy with it.
