The product arrived very quickly, less than four days after placing the order; however, it arrived defective. The product, a Surefire X300V-B White/IR Flashlight, functions properly only about 30% of the time and eventually ceases to operate at all. The only solution is to unlock the tailcap, remove the batteries, and reinsert them; this solution only temporarily makes the light function but it eventually stops working again with no discernable pattern. I assessed that the tailcap terminal springs were not long enough to reliably interface with the batteries, so I extended them a bit with a set of needle nose pliers, this did not improve function or reliability. I have contacted Surefire for return or repair under warranty, I am presently awaiting their response at the time of this review. For a $400+ weapon light, this performance is unacceptable. Surefire's build quality has been waning recently, and this products abysmal performance is indicative of such decline.
