SIG Sauer P227 Carry & P220 Compact 3.9in Mechanical Recoil Reduction System
Written on May 06, 2026
I purchased this for reasons of cost and recoil reduction
As to recoil reduction, it is not so much reduced per se, but more the recoil over time is tempered, i.e. more of a push, than a snap
As to cost, if you change the recoil spring per SIG's recommended round interval then the DPM is cost effective if you shoot a lot.

absolute best knife sheath for field

This purchase was my third time for this item, which says quite a lot. I have both the longer and shorter versions now. So my Randall 15 and Randall 1 have dedicated sheaths.
The plastic liner inside the sheaths protects both you and the blade. It is totally over engineered, which is a good thing.
The sheath itself is easy to attach/detach, belt or molle.
The strap to secure the handle is fully adjustable and effective.
Pricey, but buy it once and you never have to buy anther sheath.
