Glad I gave it a try

Written on Jul 21, 2026

I got this for a modernized mill spec fixie build and I'm really happy with the quality and the feel of the charging handle. My go to is the radian raptor but for the build in question this looks much better aesthetically and performs great.

Great Red Dot (after you adjust the reticle)

Written on Jul 05, 2026

I got this for a 14.5 AR build as I wanted to run a dot 90% of the time but I wanted the ability to reach out to longer distances with a magnifier and I didn't want to have the weight penalty of an LPVO. I've had good luck with Holosun in the past so I picked this over Sig. The reticle it comes preset to is my least favorite of the 4 options. It looks good with the magnifier but its VERY busy without the magnifier which is not ideal for my 90/10% goal. What's cool about this optic is you can hold down the - button to change between 4 different options: dot, circle-dot, circle-dot+ BDC dots, circle-dot+ BDC dots + range numbers (which is the preset). I like the circle-dot and circle-dot+ BDC dots options. The circle-dot is like my 510c reticle so it feels fast and familiar, the circle-dot+ BDC dots is why I bought the optic, its busier than just the plain circle-dot, but it is usable both with and without magnification and adds some capabilities to what I can do with the rifle.

light weight and simple

I have 3x of these. They're a great option for bolt action rifle chassis. This is my go-to for a light weight and simple build where I don't want a ton of moving parts. I also own a couple MDT skeleton carbine stocks and they're much more adjustable and are a great option for a dedicated bench rifle. I go with the trybe stock when I want to bench shoot sometimes or shoot offhand or try different shooting positions. No moving parts, nothing to wiggle loose in transport, set it up at home and it's exactly the same when you get to your shooting location.
