I took a 140-pound doe last fall with a .308 at around 40 yards—dumb move. Good Lung/high heart hit, with an entry in and exit. but the round clipped a rib on entry and shattered a rib on exit, so both front legs were bloodied to the point one was trash-canned and the other was half cutaway.
