For those critical of this optic your wrong. I was searching for an inexpensive yet durable red dot optic. I wanted another Holosun, but with less features for my SOCOM16 to destroy. I've read reviews of this happening due to the scout mount being barrel mounted on the SOCOM16.

Enter the Romeo MSR. I mounted it to a low profile Aimpoint Micro T1 LRP QD mount which cost more than the optic. I shot 210rds of 7.62x51 rapidly from eight 20rd mags and one X-Products 50rd drum. I wanted to get on paper, testing the rifle, optic, drum , mags, and me with my new system. Really quick trip shooting at a small 6"x10" steel floor rocker at 100 yards. I'm pretty sure the optic became hotter than what is factory recommended yet it suffered no visible damage and its zero held. My fingers didn't enjoy the blister I earned from not wearing gloves while adjusting the rotary dial for brightness. If I did wear gloves I wouldn't have felt the burn from the heat transfer and this was the most important part of my testing and peaked my curiosity. If the Romeo MSR had rubber buttons I feel they may have melted.

I have a second Romeo MSR on my SIG556R that is mounted to an Aimpoint Micro T1 low profile mount that i've yet to shoot. I broke the rotary dial by overtightening the battery cap, then adjusting it roughly through it selections prior to loosening the battery cap, stripping the turn stop. The optic still worked 100% but I choose to test out there unlimited warranty which actually works well

This optic is hands down the BEST mini red dot optic (MRD) you will find especially when you factor in the price. The HE508T Elite is Titanium and boy when you unbox it you feel the quality. It reminds me of the feel and durability of military issued Aimpoint, Trijicon, EoTech and Elcan optics I became accustomed with while serving. I was so hesitant because I had never heard of Holosun. I did my homework and just knew I was in for a surprise and sure enough I was so happy upon unboxing. The 3 reticles are clear, sharp, and amazing, far exceeding expectations. I love the 32MOA Cirle w/ 2 MOA dot for every day work, 2MOA solo dot for precision and 32MOA circle solo for zombie swacking or area style targets. Holosun found a way to make an Eo-Tech style optic that doesn't look like one of Dolittle's B-25 Bombers on my flattop. Its small yet offers enough glass to where you get a perfect sight picture and paired with a .83 riser you get a great absolute co-witness that offers very little confusion with sights raised due to its optical clarity and quality reticle choices. It has rain drains built in and is waterproof at I believe an IPX7 rating. Its User Interface is easy to operate with two buttons that allow for ease of use once you familiarize yourself by reading the instructions while tinkering with it. Best of all it looks the part as well in its subdued form. What else; solar powered backup, Auto dim, auto motion wake, auto sleep and on setting 6 or lower in Auto mode 100000

Great barrel at a great price. Improved my accuracy and allowed for the addition of a compensator & hopefully a suppressor in the future. I highly recommend it. This is my 3rd Storm Lake first was a 2 port 9mm conversion and a 9mm conversion threaded barrel for a past VTAC and I sold her to help me out during a tough time and vowed never again and also wanted to step up to a 40 for my personal protection and fun.
