15x56 Diamondback, Exceeded Expectations

My first pair of quality binoculars was a pair of 10x42 Steiner Merlin's I purchased from optics planet in 2009 for $500. They are still an outstanding pair of binoculars that I have used extensively for many years. I wanted a good pair of 15x56 binoculars for hunting to get a better look at antlers from a distance in New Mexico public lands, but $900+ is way out of my budget. I did not expect these binoculars to be brighter and clearer than my Steiner's but they are! The build quality is not as nice, but the optical quality is outstanding for the price, $280 shipped 2day air. I am extremely happy with them! They are fantastic mounted on a tripod and better than expected without. I'm looking forward to many years of use!
