Review for those who want REAL opinions
Written on Apr 13, 2015
I spent the better part of a year researching and trying to decide what I needed and how much $$ was "worth" spending. I had a HARD time justifying $3k or more on a NVG. I lucked up on some Gen 1 items (Russian goggles I got across the pond, 4x Gen 1 scope I got for about 150) so I've played with them and knew what Gen 1 could offer. I read several places where Gen 2 and Gen 3 were not the same, but much closer in quality than Gen 1 and Gen 2. So, I found this on here and several other sites..... Price matched and I feel I REALLY got my $$ worth! Why am I so pleased? Here you go....
First, these were GREAT. There is ONE little blemish dot (had to actually look for the thing to find it!!) and it’s in a place where it doesn’t bother the view in any way. There is no distortion, No fish eye, the weight is great, size is great, I LOVE it! I was REALLY wanting something that fit my hand well, was light, easy to get to quick and turn on quick, etc. Yep, this is it. I have used this in full moon, no moon with stars, on country road with few house lights, and on cloudy night in rain. I have used in pitch black with only a few stars peeking through some clouds. It has not disappointed me yet. I ID’d my son at 200 yards on a slither of a moon. Oh, the IR light on it is good too! Granted, I’m not 100% liking the little “spotlight” thing on it, but overall, works great in the house, on the porch, and in the rain.
The instruction manual is a little confusing… says pul
