Too low for my Leupold 1" 3x9 50mm scope - get the medium height.

Probably perfect for the 40mm objective but my 50mm hits the barrel of my .308 Tikka T3x Lite Veil Wideland by about 1/2mm. I returned for the medium height which according to another reviewer (I should have read 1st) will be just right. Nice light rings and they are one piece unlike the Leupold rings. Torx screws are a plus!

Poor eye relief
Written on Nov 05, 2018
I should know better than to get a cheap scope. Usually I always opt for at least a Vortex or Leupold but decided to give this one a try. The eye relief is generous BUT your eye must be an exact distance from the scope to get an acceptable view. I mean you move your head even the tiniest bit and your view is distorted. Not what I would want for a snap shot at a deer! I am returning.

Great scope for hard kicking rifles!

Review for
Leupold VX-2 1-4x20mm Rifle Scope
My Henry 45-70 kicks like a mule and this scope was quick to zero and held it. I shot nice tight groups with both Hornady LeverEvolution and Federal Powershok ammo. I tried a Weaver V-3 and it was terrible; my groups were all over the place and it would not hold zero. I exchanged it for this Leupold. I have to admit that the gold ring on the Leupold looks pretty sharp with my brass Henry too. Crystal clear bright optics and a great scope at a decent price. Don't be a cheapskate. Get a Leupold!

Will not hold zero.
Written on Oct 31, 2017
Won't hold zero on my Henry 45-70. I wasted over 100 rounds of expensive ammo trying to get it right. The windage was ok but the elevation wouldn't hold. Sometimes when adjusting it downwards, my 5-shot groups would actually move in the opposite direction (and yes, I can read up from down). Once when I thought I had it almost zeroed, I adjusted it just 1-MOA lower (at 50 yards) and the next group jumped to 4 inches high (that is high, not low). This scope gets overall positive reviews here so I suppose I was the lucky buyer to get a lemon. I returned it for a Leupold VX-2 1-4x.
