Excellent "low impact" camera system.

Written on Nov 03, 2018

I currently deploy 5 of the J-1422 cameras w/D battery packs attached, 1 1385 repeater and 1 1385 as the "home"( both w/Cuddepower D battery boosters attached) at the parking location on my lease. CL level on all cameras is at least 46-50 in hilly terrain now that I have the repeater in the middle of my 120 acres and atop the highest point. Day and night image quality is excellent. Battery life is exceptional, 122 days deployed and still showing "good". The real advantage of this system is the "low impact" on the area. Have not been near any camera since deployment and deer activity shows this. Just swap SD cards in the "home" 1385 after hunting and I can view all my cameras at once. Tips: 1. Use good quality D batteries ( prefer the copper top). 2. Use high quality, fast(#10) 8 GB SD cards in each camera( faster read/write speed saves batteries + you have a permanient record with an 8GB SD card, 7700+ image space). I use #10 speed 32GB cards in the home and repeater( overkill but why not) with 2 extra to swap out in the truck. Mine are all attached to the trees with the Genius pan/tilt/lock mounts with cut resistant Master padlocks and specialty head(takes a special bit) exterior truss screws. In summary; Great camera system that provides viewing ability combined with low impact and low matianance needs. Very happy and will be adding more camreas soon.
