The barrel nut's threading is too long/deep that the barrel nut would grind against upper receivers before it would engage with the barrel's barrel extension. I have tried two different brands of upper receivers and the result IS THE SAME, the barrel nut would grind against my upper receivers, and in one scenario, it even grind against my ejection port rod. It is not a well designed product, or maybe it is the poor quality control of the barrel nut.

I have inspected its extractor, contrary to the specification, it is NOT made from S7 tool steel. It appears to me that the extractor is made from cast metal, which is not nearly as strong as forged or billet machined extractor.

I have purchased this product and is planning to return this due to the following reasons:

1. The machining quality for my unit is rather poor, you can see clear tool marks and ugly patterns on the bolt.

2. the most important reason why I am returning this unit:

I have inspected its extractor, contrary to the specification, it is NOT made from S7 tool steel. It appears to me that the extractor is made from injection molded metal, which is a special type of molded metal powder and is not nearly as strong as forged or billet S7 tool steel. The small rubber O ring on the extractor's spring is also missing, and somebody at the factory might forget to put that small piece of rubber on its spring.

I have another Faxon bolt for 7.62 x 39 , also advertised as S7 tool steel extractor, upon inspection, that extractor is made from cast metal, which is not nearly as strong as forged or billet machined extractor.

1. The packaging box say item is fully honed and de-burred , but it is not, some edges are burred, and a lot of burs in the interior circles. 2. The anti rotation tabs are tight on some upper receivers, and simply too small and will not fit on some other upper receivers( will not fit on the aero one I tried )

I would not recommend this product. The barrel nut is very thin, and made from 6000 series aluminum, which is not strong enough to retain strength and accuracy. I prefer steel barrel nut, and if using aluminum, 7075 T6 is a must for barrel nut. Furthermore, there is quite large gap between the handguard top rail and the upper receiver's top rail. I tried on Aero upper and Anderson upper receivers with two different .223 barrels, the result are the same. The instructions are confusing, because it came with 3 pairs of screws (6 screws total), in three different lengths, and the manual failed to explain the purposes of each lengths( I finally figured out myself after some tries ) .Will be return this product. Please pass this information to the manufacturer , and if they can spend just a little bit more effort to improve the points I mentioned above, this could a killer deal and great product.
