good range finder for the price. unit is well built,small and lite. optics are clear and crisp. the adjustments are adequate without any unnecessary bells and whistles. you probably won't get a 1000 yard range with it unless you have a bright reflective target. it does well within the 600 to 800 yard range. i bought this unit mainly for the HCD ranging capability which works great. wish vortex would have used a CR123 battery instead of the smaller CR2. many of my other devices use the bigger battery.
