First package arrived looking like it rolled down the road. One of the fins was bent on the edge. No bid deal, just tweaked it back with a tiny screwdriver. Scratched it slightly but that was my fault. Second it would not screw in. The thread are too shallow inside the red dot. Tried several times, removed the oring and it will make about 3/4s of a turn and stop. Which might hold….

I had to take a guess for the height setup and it worked out great. Bought a 3-12x44 scope and mounted on a flat top rail. This was the exact height needed. If you add an objective end cover it gets real tight. It worked out for my setup. The thicker, heavy covers may not fit with a 44mm end and medium rings.

I’m glad this was set up in a package deal. Great concept with the Buckmasters BDC too! The scope is very clear. The reticle is very fine and doesn’t hide anything with heavy lines. 1/4 moa adjustments gave plenty of room to fine tune. I like having caps over the turrets too. Set it and forget it with the BDC range finder. Now the rangefinder. It has a cheap feel to it because it’s so lite, But it works great! Programming the round type is easy! Putting it in Buckmasters mode makes so simple it’s incredible. Adjusting the intensity is not instant but it’s workable. It gets really bright, even in a bright sunny day I have it on a 3 of 9 setting. The illumination disc on mine does have a little defect and I thought about returning it but it doesn’t affect anything. If you crank the intensity up and look at a dark object it shows an odd line. But again that’s not how you use it, so who cares lol. All in all it’s a great package if you need both items. It wasn’t the highest optioned, highest price model but right in the middle with all the features I needed for this build.

The idea of the extra spring for heavy recoil is fantastic. This design almost meets that. Basically if you have a commercial tube which is 1.168 inch OD this fits correctly. A mil spec tube which is 1.148 fits rather sloppy. Yes it’s only .020 but when you are fully extended it moves a lot more than the numbers show. If you are shouldering directly on the heel of the stock with a mil spec tube, it works correctly. If you are more on the toe of the stock, it binds up a little and doesn’t function as well. Of course it’s all shooter preference and how you are setup. A low optic caused me to be more on the heel is how I noticed. It is a good stock and I still bought a second one for another hard hitter. It just needs a mil spec version or a way to tighten the fit to be perfect.

This is the second bore sight I’ve ordered and both have had corroded up batteries in the sealed package. White powdery residue and obviously bad. But it easier to just keep it and put fresh in, instead of returning.

Laser itself was fine but the package had sat around so long the batteries had corroded up and were useless. White powder all around them in a sealed package. At least it didn’t ruin the laser. I’d return it but it’s more hassle for me than it would be for the company. Probably why it got sent out……

Great as expected. Easy to use. Easy to adjust. Flips up, locks, and retracts steadily. I added a tritium dot for my preference. Would be nice if Magpul offered anything other than a steel post. The ODGreen is a little dark. If it’s beside a black one you can see the difference. If you are trying to color match, just paint it.

Nice and bright, easy to install. Easy to align the dot since it is a two piece design. The only minor negative is how easy the top piece moves around once installed. Just a tiny amount of play around the alignment pin. Probably not even noticeable unless you are using open sights for longer shots. Would still buy another one.

Nice grip and stock. Tight fit on the sliding butt stock but it’s a whole lot easier to adju than dealing with a sloppy fit. No rattles or clunky feel.
