This is a very nice scope. A great value for the cost. I wasn't sure how I would like the Accu-Range Reticle, but it is not as crowded as I expected, and works well on my Marlin 336 35 Remington. It also looks good on the Marlin, compact and good scale for the size of the rifle.

This is a great piece for putting modern scopes and rings on your Marlin 336. Several other reviewers commented on the front mounting screw being too long and extending to hit the bolt. That is not a problem on the rail I received. The front screw hole is not counter sunk as much as the other three holes, so the screw cannot extend into the bolt area.

I'm very pleased with the rail. If you use see through rings, you probably won't be able to use your open sights. I'm changing from see through rings to lower rings to get a better cheek weld. The Marlin stock is setup for a low cheek weld for use of the open sights; so lower rings should improve accuracy by minimizing the rifle tilt that you can get with the very high see through rings. Still deciding on permanent or QD rings. Leaning toward the QD rings in case I want to pop of the scope and use the open sights.

I received the Wheeler AR-15 Roll Pin Install Took Kit and the roll pin punches were duplicate sizes and did not include the variety that was listed in the kit contents. Also several of the pins were bent, apparently from inserting improperly into the slots in the plastic case. I contacted Wheeler and they immediately sent out replacement pins. I was very pleased with Wheeler's customer service. The tools work just fine and the case keeps everything together. The smaller pin punches are very thin so care must be taken when using them. They are meant to drive pins in a straight line. They are not drift pins or pry bars. Use WD-40 or similar on old pins or tight pins. This is a good set of tools. Just be careful putting the small diameter punches into the slots in the case.

Excellent piece of hardware. Used to replace a two piece set of bases that were not spaced properly to mount my Nikon Slug Hunter scope. The EGW base worked perfectly. Mounting was easy, the holes lined up and the screws did not protrude into the chamber. Good fit and good finish. Good solid base for heavy recoil shotgun.
