Setup was easy. Put the included batteries in and turn it on. The Bluetooth connection was easy as well. Had everything set up and ready to use within minutes. Is the audio quality as good as i expected?? It's better than I expected! Is the audio quality as good as a set of name-brand earbuds? No.. their primary purpose is for hearing protection. It feels like I could wear these all day long and not feel much, if any, discomfort. I will say, if you have larger ears, you might want to look for replacement ear cups or a different set of earpro altogether. My ears barely fit inside the cups that come factory, which still allows for all day comfort. If the cups were any smaller my ears would get smashed inside. Could you still wear them? Yeah, but the longer you wear them the more discomfort you might feel. Could potentially reduce the hearing protection as well.

Shipping from Optics Planet was fast and hassle-free as usual. Upon receiving it, the quality of the base was evident right away. Felt solid in my hand. The recoil lug was one of the main reasons for purchasing this product as it just makes sense. It also made installing very easy. I was able to push the base all the way forward to where the lug met up with the action and all 4 screws line up perfectly and square. The only complaints I would have (being nitpicky here I think), would be that the torque specs aren't on the packaging. A quick search on MDT's website under their technical help center told me it was 20-25 inch-pounds. If using a thread locker it was 15-25 inch-pounds. Also, it's got some length to it, which made the original rings I had bought not work. In the end though, I think that was for the best as I sold those rings, made money, and went with the MDT rings to match the setup. That's a combo that was meant to be. The double recoil lug on the MDT rings along with the easiest and quickest install I've ever done is going to make me a repeat customer in the future. If you're on the fence, just buy the base! The same goes for the MDT scope rings!

I don't typically write reviews but MDT nailed this stock and kept it at a reasonable price. Optics Planet had it shipped to me fast as well! If you're on the fence about upgrading your Weatherby Vanguard SA stock or Howa 1500 SA stock.. just do it!! You won't regret it. This has all the features of a high-end factory or custom rifle stock. The MLOK forend makes it so you can put just about any accessory you want on it. The AICS magazine is something I prefer over the hinged floorplate. Adjustable length of pull with spacers is good for all sizes/ages of people. The free-floating barrel is a bonus to help with accuracy. But the best part of it all for me is the adjustable cheekpiece. If you want to run a larger objective lens scope this is almost a must if you want to have a proper cheek weld too. Being able to get behind your gun and have everything line up perfectly will make you never want to go back to a non-adjustable stock. Getting on target is so much faster. I don't shoot competitively, but hunting opportunities can come and go quickly.. At the end of the season don't let "I couldn't find it" or "I couldn't get my head settled behind my scope" be the reason you didn't fill the freezer or bag a trophy. Make the gun fit you, don't fit yourself to the gun! Installing is a breeze as well with this - 2 screws is all. But it's also very rigid. There's no concern about stability or rigidness. MDT allows that to happen with the adjustability they offer with this field stock.
