OEM Heckler and Koch quality

Written on Feb 20, 2026

I've been after this barrel for a year now. Thanks to Opticsplanet.com I finally own one. The H&K quality cannot be denied. You will never go wrong with their barrels. The price was excellent,Opticsplanet.com beat everyone, period. I did have to purchase a USPSD guide rod and spring recoil assembly that is made specifically for suppressor use. There is a physical, visual difference between the standard assembly and the SD assembly. NOTE** This assembly works with the 9mm and 40 S&W. It was hard to find and not currently offered on Opticsplanet.com, however they are affordable. I also found the green O ring very easily. It also is not currently available on Opticsplanet.com. Just an FYI, the thread protector is NOT included. the system works and it works well. If you see this barrel on sale at Opticsplanet.com, do yourself a favor and pick it up. Pick up two if you can afford it.

B&T quality at a reasonable price!

Written on Dec 17, 2025

This device has made my life so much easier. All my muzzle devices are SOCOM Surefire suppressor ready. Ratcheting off from rifle to rifle is a snap! The B&T SF HUB is Titanium and Steel making it lighter than it's Surefire counterpart. The ratcheting system on the B&T feels robust, just excellent quality fit and machining. I have a Surefire system and I would rather have the B&T SF HUB all day long instead. It is a tidy device to boot. No button sticking out of it. A better design overall in my humble opinion. With the great Opticsplanet.com discounts it also beats the Surefire price wise. I have to thank Opticsplanet.com once again for making products like the B&T SF HUB not only available but also reasonably affordable.

expensive poorly sized

Written on Dec 06, 2025

I watched a lot of video reviews on these boots. A few reviewers recommend to order a half size longer if you have wide feet as I do. I did not. That being said, I usually can order any boot in my normal size 10 and they will fit fine. I currently use Salewa boots as the fit and comfort is perfect right out of the box every time. I used to use Salomon boots that also fit fine out of the box and are also comfortable but unlike the Salewa boots, the Salomon boots don't last as long. Salewa quality and durability have beaten all other brands I've tried, period. I wanted to try these specific La Sportiva boots based on the rugged build quality, water resistance, light weight, with the ability to run in them and comfort. These boots may be rugged, they may be water resistant, but as far as comfort, no way. Choose your size carefully. I used these boots for a month and a half. I walked and ran two to three miles a day in them. They will not stretch. I never felt comfortable in them and the finish on them is weak. I do not recommend these boots unless you are well versed in the way these types of boots are sized. I personally do not like to size up because I still drive a car with a stick. The extra length is a nuisance while driving, it is a tripping hazard and nobody wants to look like bozo the clown while walking around in public. Thank you to Opticsplanet.com for providing the best price for these boots anywhere on the net, and i searched everywhere. They didn't work out for me

Quility barrel for the money in an increasingly hard to find size

Written on Nov 22, 2025

Building a rifle can get boring. So you try new things like building a pistol. Sometimes you don't want to build the same sized run of the mill pistol. So i did some research and decided to go with a 12" barrel. I watch a lot of YouTube, one of my favorite channels is the Garand thumb channel. He shoots all the time, thousands of rounds. He routinely uses Rosco barrels for their quality and price. So I got one that was affordabley priced here on Opticsplanet.com of course. The quality is spot on. The only gripe I have with this purchase is that the gas tube and pin were not included setting my build time back another seven days. I ordered the Rosco tube and it matched perfectly. The tube is quality but priced on the high end in my opinion. Maybe Rosco can work something out with Opticsplanet.com on the price front.

Spikes tactical quality parts at Opticsplanet.com affordable prices. Sign me up every time!

Written on Nov 22, 2025

I've been a fan of Spikes Tactical for years. My first foray into building an AR was well supported by parts from Spikes Tactical. I love their spider logo. The parts are built to mil-spec standards, fit properly EVERY time, flawlessly machined, flawlessly coated, and have never failed me on any build. I have now purchased two of this Spikes Tactical Billet uppers and I will probably purchase more if they stay available and the prices stay as reasonable as Opticsplanet.com have kept them. It is awesome. It mates up to Spikes, Aero Precision and just about any mil-spec lower you throw it on perfectly. The quality is undeniable. Thank you to Opticsplanet.com for THE best price on the net. Period!

The perfect fit for my Rosco barrel

Written on Nov 22, 2025

I recently got a great deal on a Rosco barrel from Opticsplanet.com. Unfortunately, the gas tube was not included with the barrel. I think Rosco should include the gas tube and pin with any barrel they sell. It was an inconvenience having to order one and wait for it to arrive after I had already received the barrel. The other thing that was a little annoying is that the Rosco gas tube was more expensive than many other legitimate manufacturers. That being said, the tube looks to be well made.

An affordable trigger upgrade that works!

Written on Nov 22, 2025

WMD have been around for some time now. The quality is there. Mostly known for their BCGs. I had an old mil-spec trigger group laying around that I decided to use on a new build. I thought, how can I make the trigger just a little smoother without modifying it. This is an easy upgrade that slickens up your trigger pull for very little money. I made my run of the mill mil-spec trigger feel super slick. Inexpensive upgrade. Get them while you can.

Manticor Arms Hellion EBR!

Written on May 27, 2025

The Manticor Arms EBR is a must for the Springfield Armory Hellion. It is made of high-quality aluminum and coated flawlessly. It feels velvety to the touch. It operates as safely as the much smaller OEM part but is bigger and easily accessibleunder stress. This part should come on the Hellion straight from the factory. That is what is good about the aftermarket. It only took me about 5 minutes to install with a glock punch. The last thing I'll say on this product and its availability is, thank you to Opticsplanet.com. the price was unbeatable. It arrived quickly. Thank you.
