Does not feed.

Written on Mar 01, 2026

I got a pair of these mags just to try something different than lancer or magpul, and to pair with a desert dirt build I had just finished. They are very light, durable, and look great with the build but they have major feed issues. The first 3 rounds went through with no issue then after that it began to ram the nose of the round into the front casing of the mag. I actually gutted my new build on the spot and checked over the feed floors to see what could be wrong and finding nothing, I tried again and again it was slam after slam, actually pushing the bullet into the casing. I threw a magpul in and ran 30 through it without a single issue. Just to test, I tried one last time with BOTH of the duramags and both slammed rounds into the casing again. I don't know if I just got a bad run or what the deal is, as I have only ever heard good things about duramag, but I know I will not be using them any longer. I feel like it is important for me to mention that I tried multiple grains and different brands of ammo and it was the same result across all of them. I also tried in two other AR's and again the same result. Just pushing the round forward by hand it actually runs the nose of the bullet into the front wall of the mag.
