Talley rings are one of my go to's for basic hunting rifles as a gunsmith due to the fact that the base and ring are one piece. It's less parts that can move around, and that's less for a customer to mess up when they "adjust" things.

I know someone said you needed to have the bolt catch out of the gun to install this but they obviously didn't think to take the upper off because you definitely can. Either way, it is easy and the set screw makes sure it is as tight as can be. I almost like it better than the B.A.D. levers i have.

I got it without a button, just the catch and the spring. The spring seemed heavier than usual as well. Now i have to go out and buy a button. Finish is not the best either, which isn't that big of a deal to me but might be to you.

I wrote a review stating that the trigger was faulty, however i was just an idiot. After contacting customer support they immediately got back to me and told be about the two set screws under the legs of the hammer spring that need to be tightened down. Works great, definitely worth the $90 i paid for it.

Trigger won't reset

Ive put about 40 rounds down range with it installed and the reset keeps going to a semi cocked position instead of on the sear. Im sure this is to prevent it from becoming an unsafe kind of binary trigger but it is a clear indication of failure. Not something i want to rely on in a self defense scenario.

Front pin too long

The front pin sticks out about .050" so that a tight fitting upper cannot go in on my combat armory billet 308 lower when it is installed. It might fit on a different lower but definitely not mine. I compared the lengths to a standard one i had in my spare parts organizer and it is a mile longer (in machining tolerances)

Review for
VISM AR15 Lower Receiver Vice Block
I've always just used soft jaws for my vice but this is 10x better for tightening and staking a castle nut. As a bonus I use it as a jig to drill and tap my lowers for tensioning set screws. The screws in the rear are plenty long enough so I'm not sure what other reviews were talking about. 10/10

It's a BA bbl so I have no doubt it's great. However the gas block is a standard .750, not .625 as it currently says.

Great sling

The sling is perfect for a single point sling. The plate could be manufactured better though. It's not perfectly flat against the reciever. It works for my cheap AR build and I'm happy so I don't care that much.
