Simply THE best

Written on Jun 02, 2019

I've tried about every stock there is. I use this on a KAC SR-15. It's lighter than the LMT SOPMOD that came with it and I don't need the storage. There's practically no rattle. It locks up tight. Great price. The LMT is a bit overpriced. Another big bonus for me is the slight angle on the pad. Has a more natural feel.

Cool Tool!

Super compact. Fits in a MIAD grip but not sure if I like adding 3oz. there. May take a minute to setup the tool you need but a good tool to throw in the range bag or grip. Well built. Optics planet never lets me down.

There's a reason they cost a bit more

Written on Dec 27, 2018

I've had pretty much every red dot on the planet. Although I feel the best "Value" is the Trijicon MRO, I prefer to pay a bit more for the Aimpoint micros. Super clear glass, super bright dot and built like a micro tank. If you don't need night vision capabilities save a few bucks and get the H models.

Yes, it's worth the extra money

Written on Oct 15, 2018

I've owned most of the higher end optics and in my opinion the Aimpoints are a little better than most. I recently sold a couple MRO's to buy a T2 and an Aimpoint Comp M5. I feel the glass is slightly better, the dot is more crisp and they are just slightly more refined than an MRO. With that being said, MRO's are probably the best "Value". The adjustment knobs on the T2 feel very similar to the MRO's and the knobs on the Comp M5 are the best I've felt.

Every AR should come with this

Written on Sep 20, 2018

Although it may not be important, I personally don't like hearing the AR "SPROING". The JPSC not only gets rid of that noise, it makes for a better recoil impulse and simply feels great. There's also an easy way to install this without removing the buffer tube and castle nut. Cut a small thin piece of aluminum that fits under the JPSC about 2" long. Keep that piece of aluminum between the JPSC and the detent, otherwise the detent will end up in between the weights (Which will be a pain in the >>) Slowly slide the JPSC while keeping the aluminum in place. I've done this a dozen times and takes about 60 seconds to install.
