Ok so I put my savage model 11 in it and was not a drop in installation by any means. With that being said if your willing to do some shaving of material then you can get it to fit and fit great. I do have to say it did take me about 2 or 3 hours to get it to fit and i used a dremel with a grinding bit then a sand paper bit to finish it off with. My rifle does have the side bolt release that others have stated the stock does not work for but im proof that it does in fact work for a Savage model 11 .308 with side bolt release. once you have it in the stock the included mag feeds the rounds flawlessly. it was well worth the time and effort I put in but i do with that it was a drop in installation. Im giving it 4 stars for being a great stock but not 5 because of the work i had to put into it to get it to fit correctly. if you already bought this dont give up just put in the work and it will fit great! good luck!
