It's a retainer pin replacement that sits sort of flush with the bottom of the retainer pin divot. I don't expect it to come loose any time soon since it has such a tight fit, so I suppose if you're looking for a cotter pin replacement, this would be the way to go.
The BAD lever is a really good attachment for both left and right handed shooters since it provides a platform for both to easily release the bolt without reaching around the rifle to hit the paddle release.
With that said, the lever can be subject to not fitting properly due to out-of-spec bolt releases and sometimes may need a little filing down, but should not be a problem
I didn't buy it off OP, I actually bought it straight from Blitzkrieg's website but nonetheless wanted to give my two cents.
I bought the Blue buffer spring because my current setup (14.5" pinned/welded) was equipped with a worn-out standard mil-spec spring and I wanted to get something durable so I wouldn't have to constantly change out the buffer springs and practical to improve handling.
Needless to say, the Sprinco buffer spring met that criteria as well as improved recoil impulse for quite an affordable price. If you're thinking about getting one, go for it! Be sure to check their advised setup list to get the best match beforehand.
Good melonite finish I guess? I don't really know what else you can say about a gas tube, it's a gas tube. I pretty much only rated it because it doesn't look like anyone else bothered to so here I am.
I bought it for use as a handstop more than anything else since an AFG isn't really my style for use in a C-clamp rifle grip. Metal construction makes it feel virtually unbreakable, very strong and high quality. The easy removal makes a fine feature if I get tired of using the grip.
Something to note is that buyers with big hands like myself will find the Short option to be slightly uncomfortable to hold fully instead of as a handstop. If you're one such buyer, more than likely a Medium or Large will do the trick.
As a beginner I didn't know where to start on solvents or cleaners so I figured I might as well give Breakthrough a try on an old BCG I picked up at a small used parts shop. Mind you, the BCG looked like the last time it was used was a couple years ago to empty surplus ammo and had an egregious amount of fouling on it. Used Breakthrough on it and I was surprised by how clean it left the carrier and bolt, left it looking almost new! Needless to say, I'll be using this from now on.
