Fits well and is comfortable and warm

Written on Nov 02, 2017

I wanted a light weight jacket to wear in the colder temperatures that aren't quite cold enough for a heavy jacket so I gave this a try. This is very light and the cut/shape fits me perfectly. There is a slightly elastic string that can be pulled in either/both lower pockets to draw the coat tighter to the waist. The outer shell repels water (and cat pee, coincidentally) without any problems.

The small duck bill in the hood takes a little getting used to, but I don't mind it. The hood is easily removable and stuffs in the pockets easily. The inner shell is mostly the slick brown 'Browning' pattern which makes putting it on/taking it off easy. The inner sleeves and around the neck are normal cloth as well as the pockets. I do wish there was one or two inner pockets, but overall I'm satisfied.

Fits 64 ounce vacuum insulated bottles

Written on Nov 02, 2017

I bought this to carry my 64oz Yeti vacuum insulated bottle, and it fit perfectly. The first try was a little tight, but the pouch relaxed after a few days and now the bottle slips in and out with a little drag. The only thing I don't like about this is the excess straps and connectors. The other strapping provisions are well made and can be useful depending on how it's being used, but I'm using the Molle straps and the other connectors are just more things to snag on. I will probably cut them off eventually. But regardless of that, the pouch is very well made.

Very good mag holders

Written on Nov 02, 2017

I bought a pair of these mag holders to use as an easy way to carry my M1a mags. I bought the stainless 20rd Checkmate mags and they fit snuggly. The overall construction is nice and is typical of Maxpedition. This one doesn't have any excess strapping or connectors hanging off to snag, which is nice. The velcro is strong and my other Maxpedition pieces with velcro have held up for a very long time so this shouldn't be a problem.

I had to wait for the foliage green color as there weren't any in stock, but they arrived a little earlier than the checkout note had estimated.

Overall a very good value.

Very nice bail out/range bag

Written on Nov 02, 2017

This bag is very well made and the strap is surprisingly comfortable. I've been looking for a mid size bag to use and this met every expectation. I added a pistol dual mag holder on the front molle webbing and it works well. I haven't found anything I don't like about the bag yet.

Would buy again if I needed another barrel.

Written on Nov 02, 2017

The P220 barrel arrived a few days quicker than the checkout estimate noted. The barrel is from Sig and is as good as any other Sig product. I had to lightly file the back of the breech to match my P220, but the barrel I replaced had factory file marks so I expected this as part of installation. I haven't shot anything through it yet, bu the action feels the same and everything looks good so I don't expect any problems.

Also, the price through Optics Planet is much lower than anywhere else I looked.
