Bright and clear on daylight and once adjusted correctly (on full brightness for night time vision) provides good night vision. Much smaller and lighter than ATN scope. Minimum 6.5 magnification may provide smaller field of view than you might like at close range but overall an excellent piece of equipment with adequate IR function and rechargeable battery for price range.

Ruger Magazine MINI-14 223 10 Round
These 10 rd magazines work fine and better than off brand models. No problem using 223 or 5.56 ammo in Mini-14 serial numbers beginning with 580 + I actually also like the 20 rd mags but these can be illegal in some states. These 10rd mags are easier to extract than the 5 rd Ruger originals. The factory mags are definitely worth it.
