I did a ton of research before putting together my first component build. I'm not schooled enough for literally building one from the "screws up". Combining this barrel w a high quality adjustable gas block has resulted in a really reliable pistol configuration in .300 BLK sub, with a Silencerco 30 cal suppressor - Chimera, 36M, Velos LBP and new 46M Hybrid - I've used them all on this build and now the Chimera stays on it in my safe and on the range.
Haven't had any cycling issues once I set the gas adjustment right. I try to use the same ammo on the range always, but sometimes different ammo needs a slight gas adjustment. This is a bit lighter weight barrel too, and my goal was to build the lightest unit possible, from the trigger, hand guard, brace, grip and more, I couldn't be happier with this Faxon barrel.
I have 2 more now in other sizes & calibers for other builds. Once I find something that I really like (like Silencerco), I stick with and trust buying other items from the MFG.

I built a .300 BLK that I wanted to be as light as possible. Along with a lightweight BCG, handguard & brace, this rounded out the whole thing.
Feels good in the hand. Well designed to be lightweight and comfortable.
I'll buy more of them to shed some more ounces.

I used quotes for simple in my title, because I had no idea what I was doing. I've never replaced a trigger and went straight to YouTube to learn how to install this one. It was challenging just because of the need to hold things in place w one hand while doing/inserting with the other. I almost got frustrated, but it wasn't that bad. Fast forward to the range:
I LOVE shooting this trigger. I have a 5.56 can on the rifle I installed this trigger on, which helps with the weight, negating the recoil rise a bit. Still, I usually only do a double tap/4 shots at a time to keep my aim steady.
That said, a Mag dump with this thing is way too much fun. ALMOST a "giggle switch".

I bought these as a backup to my Walker's Bluetooth earbuds and to see if maybe I like these better anyway. If not, I can let one of my kids use them at the range. The sound quality in "shooting" mode is terrible. When the crack of a bullet or even when you clap next to your ear, they do kill the dangerous sounds but only by going completely blank and taking a second or so to "ramp up" the volume again. So, you hear OK (not the best reproduction of the natural environment), you shoot a round (or clap) and your earbuds go to complete zero decibels, then get louder back up to where the sound was, only to go silent again at the next loud noise.
I have 4 different types & brands of active noise limiting hearing devices. Two over the ear muff models and two earbud models and these don't function like any of the others and therefore are pretty worthless.
I obviously wasn't paying attention when I purchased them and so didn't notice they were unreturnable. I've bought thousands of $$ of gear on OP (several of which are OPMOD models) and this is the only purchase I completely regret. 100 bucks down the drain because they are awful and OP won't take them back.

BUYER BEWARE! You might want to pony up more cash for something that works properly.

I purchased a Zenith SP5 and love it, but something was always missing while the ATF brace ban was in full effect. The MP5 is so much more versatile with this brace.
I was surprised at how affordable the Magpul version is. Still these braces are costly, but this one is terrific in performance and price.

I am always budget constrained, but wanted a quality optic for my new IWI Tavor X95 FDE. The Romeo7 OpMod FDE matches perfectly. Everything about this red dot makes me smile because it has a simplicity to it while being a fantastic, absolute co-witness red dot.

I sighted it in easily and its the perfect red dot for the X95 rail. It's size makes it look like it came with the Tavor. I'm likely to get a Juliet 3X to go with it, which will complete the build.
Gotta love the cost of Sig optics because their quality is fantastic without breaking the bank on a higher priced unit sold to the US government (which bought $1k toilets years back). I'm a Sig Sauer fan (my favorite pistol is my trusty 'old' P226 9mm). Have several of their optics, Romeo3/Juliet3 pair, Romeo4 on another rifle and another Juliet3 for still another rifle.
Can't beat the quality for the price!
And Optics Planet always gets the shipment out and in my hands quickly.
