The Handguard I wanted

There is not much to say. This is the handguard I wanted, since I like bulkier handguards.
The only down size (and I did not drop a star because it is likely made for the enhanced receiver, which I did not want) is that it needs the BAR barrel nut to work on a standard receiver.
Once you figure out the BAR nut (separate review), the handguard looks great, and feels nice for my larger hands.

To be straight up, I only bought this because I wanted the quantum handguard and did not want the enhanced receiver.
I can see why people might have trouble timing it, but if you do a little research on the rotation of barrel nuts vs. shim thickness you will realize the provided 8 shims will almost assuredly (eventually) give you the correct timing. Aero's website has a diagram which, though a oddly presented, lays it out pretty well. And you could always buy some extra or thicker shims if you want.
I got it to clock out at just over 30 ft-lbs after seasoning. And the handguard does match up perfectly with the receiver.

Clogged Threads

Dimension and size are perfect for what I wanted.
Would have rated higher but took a good deal of running a tap down threads to remove excess nitride just to get it to thread down on barrel.
Also wish it had wrench flats.
