First of all, not my first thermal.
Used once on a hog hunt a week ago. Takes a little getting used to, most other thermals have buttons.
This thermal has knobs to m=navigate the menu and change settings, focus and zoom are simple and easy via the knobs, in hours become 2nd nature. The stadimetric range finder is time consuming and cumbersome. Clarity is great, zoom is adequate for hunting and security, battery life is great.
If it had a LRF option I'd buy 2 more.
Easily locates heat signatures at 400+ yards, differentiated hog-deer at 400 yards.
Pigs don't stick around long when they sense danger.
Got a little more familiarization to do with this unit, worked my first time out.

Soft, warm, 1/2 zip for venting while walking in to your stand.

Worked well after minor roll pin work.
When unboxed, the clamping mechanism retention roll pin was protruding from both sides on the rear mount.
A small pin punch and pliers removed one of the two roll pins. ( only supposed to be one) mounted and performs like Leupold should.
5 minutes of work and now I have a spare roll pin in stock.

While not the most accurate of bullets available, the repeated functionality of the TTSX is unparalleled in weight retention and penetration.
At extreme distances, likely only an entrance wound and minimal blood trail. Mark your shooting position and direction if tracking is required, 2 minutes of ranging post shot will save you hours if in thick cover

Exactly what I ordered, was out of stock for a couple of weeks, decently priced, will see about longevity

Easy to set up but hint intuitive to turn on
Hard to push very small laser button
Must practice finger placement to become moderately proficient

Great resource for your 556 nato weapon.
22 caliber legal to hunt deer in TN for over a decade.
Solid copper for those states requiring Lead free with reliable expansion.
Had good luck with multiple varieties of Barnes.
