Great Low Cost Light / Laser Combo
Written on Feb 24, 2015
Given the price this is a great light laser combo. Light is plenty bright enough to light up a room with good trade off between light spread and a centrally focused beam. The laser is bright and easily visible. The three position switch is a little small for frequent operation but given that its function is off and toggling between the pressure switch and the switches on the back of the unit for the light and laser, then its more of a set it and forget it.
The push buttons on the back of the unit for the light and laser have a nice feel, with a tactile click when engaged. I was hoping to be able to activate both with one push but have not been able to reliably do this, either need more practice of bigger thumbs - I have small hands.
The pressure switch works well and operates both the light and laser. My one concern is where to mount the switch on a pistol so that is doesn't interfere with my grip. I have not yet found a position that is comfortable, I will probably end up not using it and instead using the switches on the back of the unit.
One nice item is the inclusion of a little "keyring" tool to tighten/loosen the slotted nut that hold the light onto the rail. Also included is one CR2 battery, I would recommend purchasing some rechargeable CR2 batteries. Overall this well made - metal not plastic construction.
