Poor Quality Control
Written on Jan 15, 2015
I own a lot of lasers, 2 Crimson Trace's, 2 Laserlytes, and some off brands. Up until this purchase, I've owned 1 green laser(rifle size), and 7 red lasers. Based on these experiences, I think I have reasonable expectations when I purchase a laser sight.
I purchase the Truglo TG7630G because I wanted improved laser visibility during peak daylight hours. The first TG7630G that Optics Planet sent me was excellent. Great daytime visibility, zeroed without difficulty, but still had one unforgivable defect. The right side actuation switch was recessed a bit to much, and required 3-4 attempts every time I tried to actuate or de-actuate the laser. On a handgun that's intended for self defense, that is not acceptable. OpticsPlanet paid for the return shipping and sent me another TG7630G.
The new TG7630G was no brighter than my red laser sights and would not zero properly. At 30' it was off by 8 inches in azimuth. OpticsPlanet paid for the return shipping and sent me another TG7630G.
Again, the new TG7630G was no brighter than my red lasers and would not zero properly. At 30' it was off by 3 inches in azimuth. OpticsPlanet graciously refunded my money.
I'll probably wait 6-9 months, to give TruGlo a chance to solve their inconsistent quality problem , and then order another with the hope of getting one that works properly.
Many thanks to OpticsPlanet for their exceptional customer service.

Wrong Mount
Written on Nov 26, 2014
Thought I was buying the pictured (QD) mount but instead I was sent a NC Star MWM (right name) that was not a QD mount. Don't buy this mount unless you clarify what your getting with Planet Optics CS.
