Makes the M&P feel even better, for someone with short hands it makes it easier to operate. It gives a good grip and of course makes reloads faster. I have the same device on other firearms and would definitely recommend. It is made out of aluminum so it is very sturdy. I like the color options but nothing beats black
I have several streamlights and several Surefires, while both work great the variety that Streamlight offers and the price, trumps Surefire for sure. The TLR-7 fits great in sub-compact models, it is a flush fit with the barrels of my Glock 19x, Glock 23 and with the Beretta PX4 storm "full size". The 500 lumens are more than enough to blind someone and to illuminate small and large areas. While clearing a house or a small area the 500 lumens is enough to light up the area but not so much for the light to bounce back and blind you. Some people prefers the lights to protrude from their barrels to avoid the slide to go out of battery when the gun is pressed against something, I honestly prefer it flushed but it is personal preference. I have owned streamlight products since the early 2000s when the bulbs were incandescent, I can tell you that streamlight has only gotten better with time. I have never have had any reliability issues with them and the quality is for sure there. The battery will last you over a year with light to moderate use. CR123s are really good at withstanding the Arizona heat and of course so are the lights are more than capable of handling the abuse.
I have this on my Glock 43, I also have a different brand for my FDE Glock, both work great but I like this one more due to the smooth edges on the release, the Tyrant one I have has snagged on my shirt but it is not that big of a deal. I definitely prefer this one.
The material (spring) is super weak, it will not release the slide, even when you rack the gun. You have to hold the slide release down and rack the gun in order for it to go forward, it is very dangerous to have a malfunction like that in case of an emergency reload. I had to swap my glock 23 and 22 back to the factory slide release. Unfortunately it was past the return date so I took that loss. The Glock 43 slide release does not have the same issues, that one has worked flawlessly, maybe because I swapped the Tyrant spring with the OEM spring, not sure but I have had no issues on the 43. IT is unfortunate as my Glocks were nicely matching with the slide release, back plate and extended mag release.
