I just keep buying them!!

These gen 4 units come in right and left fold now. so if you have a shotgun or somwthing elae that you tricked out with a buffer tube. you could get it down small and compact. I have six now and the 5th ine appeares to have a problem with the "C" bolt block. its actually part of the release button. and the geometry when the folder is closes and lickes up tight allowa the C hook to stick out a little bit and the BCG doea not get by it. somwtimes it does but its a problem with the OAL of that part. Sylvan got a call as can't get anywhere with OP. and they seen the pics and juat swnt me a new one. that one and all the othera that I checked once I fou d the problem do stick out a tiny bit but not enough to catch the BCG. So maybe they will trim it or make the pocket the part goea in deeper or more shallow. They were good to me. I will put onw on eveey AR platform I have and I have plenty and biuld then all the time. no reason to carry a 36" case when a short 24" case can carry 2 carbinea and pistols. these are very well made and thier customer service is great so I won't worry about purchasing more. I wven have a mesa tacticall grip set up with a ar buffer tube, but it waa an older one that did not fold. well it can now. The only thing these units nees as well as the other guys L*#ws. is a positive detent system that keepa the folder folded tight . maybe some.kind.of strap system. I use a velcro strap nlw but my guess is they can make aowmtjing that uses the same button that rel

This unit is ok but!!

The Midwest forend for the Rossi 92 lever rifle is well made, and after you figure out how to mount it, adjust and adjust a few times, you can cemter it, etc. but the written instructions are not that good, and they do not have a video that you can watch to figure out how the unit is mounted. It's not intuitive. you have to really try and try until you figure out the sequence that the parts are installed and adjusted for the correct robust mounting. once you figure out how it should be done, it actually is a nice robust mounted unit. It looks good, not squre and boxy looking like the higher price version, but more like the AR type . It's long and works and looks good on a 44mag/357 mag shorter 16.5" carbine. Now I will have to take one screw out at a time and lick tight it with blue loc tite. If you are not a type that works on things, it may be a challenge. I am a fprmer machinist and engineer . so find one thats easier to install or have someone who is a smith to install it.

Heavy duty for the $

I bought two of these. one had to be exchanged. would not brighten or darken. the replacement is good. the only thing about this thats a deal breaker is I have not seen it go to sleep. Thought its suppose to. second thing is it firgets to go back to last setting after you shut it off. you havebto brighten it each time. ither than that it takes a beating and keeps.on woeking. no loss of zero when dropped rifle and it kanded right in the sight. bent the cover protector a little takingnit off to reshape it was a pain as it was not made to take off. you have to just about dismantle the sight. on e straightened out. gap is good all the way around. works great no problems..great price on sale and a coupon.. whats not to like. good for my 450 Bushmaster 10.5" pistol!! takes the recoil fine. held zero and I shot three boxss in a row while testing upper.

Looks nice but...

The brace is too loose on the supplied with the propritary buffer tube. It is proprietary so it should fit tight and smooth since its theirs. after installation there is no way to index it and tighten thentube to the receiver.? It appears that you have to purchase two parts in addition to the brace, as the tube will turn without the castlw nut and rear receiver plate. I am confused, suppose to have that. but not sure what to do now. the facts indicate that its parts that are on it. that aside it looks good but as before very much wiggle on thier tube.

I bought a second one!!

I love this 2x optic. no astigmatism, and clear glass. with a good holiday discount its a good deal. robustly built. buy needs that highly overpriced but needed QD mount. I put either a red dot at 45° or even BUIS type on as secondary even though glass is etched. and the 2x is all I need even out to 200 or so yards. the chevron is hard to define. I use it as one aim point like a dot. gum shoots so straight so far that its not needed to be used top and bottom as aiming points. that places it at zero at 100 yards. works for me and horse shoe works for the CQB need should tha be needed. the only thing I noticed ia box is not sealed like almost every optic I own and I own plenty from cheap to expensive and they all are sealed amd acoes etc are in a bag etc. mine had no such oackaging and the battery was already installed? weird. there seems to be no evidence of it being an "open box deal". paperwork usually comes in plastic envelope etc. mine was loose. just odd..anyways this is a great little scope that does it all. 2x is a perfect prism style optic for most of the AR calibers. I might not use it on a 308 build, but it could work. I put one on a pistol. nice place for them. I set mine high for amore heads up view. clear lens surprisingly clear edge to edge. Some say they are heavy. good as it should be robust its not that heavy. its not like your hunt sheep in Alaska!! actually make me feel confident that its biult like a truck!! no caps came with this..I need to chek my other

better deal than the other brand

Written on Jun 06, 2024

Its a better deal than the other brand. I did have a small problem woth buffer wanting to jump over buffer stop pon on one of the several I purchased. made contact with the manufacturer, they will send me a pin to replace the one thats on one of my folders. it wappears to be a little short. The new pin should fix that. I'll measure them make sure that the one they sens is longer. checked screws, all tight. but for the price I got several for they are nice work. gen 4 is the only.one I'd buy.

Not for average shooter

Written on May 22, 2024

I purchased 4 of these triggers. First of all they are not for the novice. there is not even a hint of take up. it is just a wall, then you squeeze and it goes off, length of travel is so short that you really have to try to hold trigger back and then let it down to feel and hear the reset. Its a very short reset really short!! so there will be doubletaps and even triple taps, and not on purpose! the other thing that is more important is ofbthe 4 only one is the advertised lbs. pull. they all are different and not by oz. by .5 a pounds, the spread between the 4 triggers is one was about 2.75lbs. then up to 5.5 lbs. DO NOT TRY AND TAKE THE GLUE THEY PUT IN THE ALLEN SCREW HOLE! AND TRY TO ADJUST ANYTHING! it will just do a slam fire type thing. maybe 3 shots almost like full auto. not for the novice shooter. the price is right but its just too tight in the perimeters. I like the price with coupons, and OP points etc. but the one that I am using I'm using on a target/varmit long shot gun. the other three I'll just hand on to until someone I known that competes etc. and gift them. if your into 3 gun amd you shoot a lot like I do then go for it. just don't expect exactly 3.5lbs. you.might get a 4 or even as much as a 5 lb. also they don't provide the 2 extra short allen screws to lock the ones that you snug after install that press down on the bottom of the reciever. it gives it isometric tention and keeps the trigger tight against the anti walk pins. push down. the two extra sc

Great but not for amateurs seriously

Written on May 15, 2024

Great trigger, but not for any one who is not really a competitor. reset is automatic, not tactile. there is no take up at all. scary. double taps will happen. all the time..seriously not for anyone who is just a casual shooter. I love it but I have been competeing for years. on only one firearm..

The Grip is too skinny. made for small hands. too long stick down way past bottom of my hand. B5 did not imclude the rubber bas plug for storage as I expected for the price and the past experience. Mext time I'll get my regular purchase of magpul.

Perfect fit for close home defense

Written on Apr 23, 2024

I purchased two of these. one is on a shotgun and one is on a AR pistol. great CQB weapon. lit reticles or not
the black circle dot is etched in the lens. its a great reliability sight. don,t need a BUIS and it keeps things slight
