Nice on outside, but rough inside

Just sent this holster back. Beautifully finished and strong, but very rough inside and a p229 Legion doesn't quite fit. You have to push a Legion really hard to get it to go in. The course interior feels abrasive, as the rough leather surface has stiff unfinished fibers. It seems that this may wear a nice finish pretty quickly. This holster looks good, but not worth the money, as it seems unfinished. Certainly not up to Galco standards. I have three other Galco holsters and a Galco shoulder rig. All are finished better.

Positives: Smooth exterior, good stitching, strongly made. Negatives. Very course on inside, almost abrasive, sure to scratch a nicely finished pistol. Also, if you're tying to insert a Legion P229, it wont accommodate your nice pistol with a great effort. Actually only goes about half way in. Any more might be (1)very hard to draw, (2)pretty abrasive on the Legion's finish.

motor is the weak part

Twice now, the motor has overheated and smoked. The RCBS company have great customer relations, though the wait time is long. They sent a replacement motor, no charge. Very nice. The second motor lasted probably 30 hours of intermittent running. I do run the thing over night, so maybe it's not good for an 8-hour run. You seem to need that long to get cases really shiny. The container and spring mount is sturdy. Motor is weak.
