In My Own Words:
faithful to my military oath, father to fantastic daughter, faithful husband to my wife, friend to animals, firm in will and sad for the world. Death is not the end, your going to be surprised. Solely faithful to my Father above
My first outing with the rifle. After zeroing the 1-8 lpvo tomahawk. I hit every target out to 800 yards with ease. First shot to boot. Using federal gold medal match. Only had one box of the good stuff all the other nato m-80 ball missed after 500. Soft recoil with the federal 4 TT from taktica tula
I had a client wanting a inexpensive AR pistol. So I bought this kit to mate to his receiver. The upper looks to be of decent quality, 3 weeks and still can’t fire it. The hammer was defective out the gate due to the internal spring that holds the hammer pin in was bent wrong. The pin cannot be installed either in the receiver or in a trigger jig. It was also missing the bolt hold open pin. I’ve made no lie, thousands of these rifles and this is the only one with a hammer issue. Very Very frustrating getting help in replacing. Bought kit from PSA and took loss with my client.
So I live in a state that it is super hard to get a ar15 pistol. I’ve been sitting on a unclassified receiver for about a decade. It’s classified as of today as a pistol. Wasn’t sure which one to get but several people told me these work great. Installed easily with a Allen wrench not included. Looks to be great for wearing a coat or some type of armor. Let’s face it, it’s very thin on the part your going to drive into your shoulder. Since I’m going to cheek it it’s no problem.
Easy install, I’m talking super easy. Don’t feel like you have to drive the set pin all the way thru. It didn’t with my Mak90 and doesn’t have too. It’s only there to not let it thread out. Was very easy to adjust. Just screw it open about 15 clicks then load 2 rounds in your mag and shoot it. If the bolt strips the second into battery unscrew it 2 more clicks and repeat. When it doesn’t pick up the second shell screw it one click close and try one last time. It should load both and now it’s adjusted. Remember to run all your types of ammo in a single mag and make sure they all run reliably. If you set it for one type like wolf, it may not run Tula. So try them all. IF you replace parts in your gun, you may have to reduce
Let’s face it, holding onto a ar15 grip has a whole bunch of small defects. This solves one, READY. When you grip onto a ar15 grip you get a couple of defects that need changing. 1. The factory grip angle is to angled to be very comfortable to carry around daily. That solution is to get a different angled grip like the new Nagpur ones. The grip angle is more vertical and feels better with the more modern way we use the rifle. 2. If you run a single point sling your going to have to change the plate under the castle but on the spring tube. All of the ones available run your thumb causing a hot spot on your hand which is painfull, they also sometimes cause the sling end to get caught up on your gloves, painful. This alleviates #2 for the most part. If you are a fresh nubie take my advise. If a 2 point sling delete the add on and go with a milspec one. But 1 points work great if your taken to the ground and it happens.
I’ve installed at least 100 sets of these springs over the past 10 years. So very much less expensive than a drop in trigger and lets face it that a 6 times a year shooter is never going to run with the PALMA bunch. Unless your willing to drop 200 on a trigger there are not many that are really going to benefit or will even master a great trigger. Myself yes but my friends a hard no. Take that extra 200 you save and buy ammo and master the stock one with these springs. Or better yet get some combat training at Thunder Ranch and such
Used these in the us army. Works great but keep your ears clean or they are uncomfortable because of wax build up. Clean the insert portions every night they last longer. I bought a military police reserve unit a case of them and they all thanked me when they rotated home
Easy to install. Just be aware that the roll pin does not have to go all the way thru the the other side of carrier. The pin just keeps it from threading out of the carrier. Worth every penny. Recoil reduction is tremendous
My Mak 90 is very over gassed. I’m the original purchaser of this firearm back in 1993. Was easy to install and should lesson recoil so my daughter can shoot it. It would be nice to keep in family since i took it overseas while in the atmy
