I bought this to mount on a SIG P365 XL to replace my P365. After looking at the SIG ROMEO 0, this is the product that SIG should have produced instead of their price oriented 0 model. Maybe as an upgrade if nothing else. The 2 MOA reticle makes much more sense than the 3 or 6 that SIG offers, plus the 32 MOA optional ring really makes target acquisition much easier on old eyes. Although the glass is smaller than the ROMEO 1 on my SIG 320 compact it seems to give a clearer sight picture.
I use this belt to carry IWB and the adjustability allows me to use it if I am not carrying. I have a 511 web belt that seems to be more of a 'duty belt' and it feels more like a corset. This belt is not as rigid, which makes it a lot more comfortable to wear on a daily basis. Plus, I am not carrying multiple lights, baton, tasers, etc. which would necessitate a heavier duty belt.
The reason I knocked off one star is because the leading edge of the velcro that feeds through the male portion of the buckle (you need to remove it to pass it through your belt loops every time you put it on) has lifted up and catches on the 'spindle' making it more tedious to put on. This doesn't affect the belt itself, it's just a small annoyance that could have been avoided by stitching the velcro closer to the edge.
I bought this scope for my AR-15, primarily because of the reticle. I enjoy shooting (doesn't everyone?) but I don't particularly like grinding on the turrets so much. So I appreciate the subtensions that assist in estimating hold overs instead of making physical adjustments to correct impact and this Primary Arms scope gives just enough of them to aid in rapid target acquisition at medium range without being too busy and distracting.
The glass seems clear and captures plenty of light to be useful in lower light conditions. The illuminated reticle is great and doesn't seem to bleed until I get above 5 on full magnification (that might be affected by my astigmatism). The control is similar to other high end scopes, it has an off position between each brightness level, but the control knob seems to be easier to rotate than it should. That is if you intend to use this in 3 gun while illuminated, otherwise it I feel it works just fine.
The locking turrets are great, I don't need the absolute security of screw on caps, so these make zeroing easy and allow me to lock in my final adjustments by pushing down the lock mechanism.
Unfortunately, the mount I ordered for this scope is on back order and won't be available for another 6-8 weeks so I haven't actually seen it in action on the range. I'll follow up after some practical application.
I purchased these ear plugs about three months ago because of their ratings and the fact that I can get a better cheek weld on my rifle stock without a set of big muffs around my head.
The sound suppression seems to be good. I don't feel that they attenuate sound as well as Walker rates them, but that could just be a misfit on the ear buds--although I have tried all of the sizes that come with the ear plugs.
The point that I take issue with is the battery life. The literature says that the battery life is 80 hours, but I find that I need to change them after 6-10 hours of use. I am careful to turn them off after each use so I am certain that the power drain is not the fault of leaving them turned on between range sessions. When the ear plugs are turned on there is an audible 'tune' that plays to tell you that they are functional but I need to change the batteries after 6-10 hours of use to be able to hear it!
So I called the toll free tech support number to see what could be done about this problem and I was told that the batteries that are used in this device start losing power as soon as the labels are removed and the positive electrode is exposed to the air??? There was no offer to rectify the problem even after I explained that dry cell batteries left in devices which are turned off should not discharge in such a short period of time.
So if you purchase this product just be aware that they do work well but the battery life is not what Walker claims that it is. Or, mor
I bought one of these for my range bag and and because of the way it was constructed, and the useful assortment of tools it offers, I bought another one for my shooting buddy’s birthday. I can’t imagine anyone who wouldn’t enjoy getting one of these quality tools as a gift. Leatherman has done it again!
