I cannot recommend, but let me explain...

Written on Jun 17, 2024

First, the good: Sturdy leather, and the stitching looks good. The metal reinforcement piece for the thumb break was fantastic! It was large, substantial, and should do it's job well. The bad: Appearance did not match the image shown on Optics Planet. The image displayed looked like a Galco holster/image with real distinct molding to the gun. In reality the appearance is more on part with a Barsony. This isn't a bad thing, but it did feel like a bait and switch. The deal breaker though was that brand new, out of the package, the holster was so loose that the gun would nearly drop out. The thumb break had about 1"of excess length and came no where near wrapping over and securing the hammer. The hammer could slip right out from underneath the thumb break is what I'm trying to describe. I imagine after a few months use when the leather softened a bit, the gun probably would drop from the holster. If they address the fit, tighten the holster up a bit, especially the thumb break, this would be a good holster for the money. I'd say it would be a really good, sturdy holster especially at this price. Until the fit is corrected, I would not recommend that you buy this holster.
