Spring tension too high; malfunctions

Written on Jun 10, 2024

The straight "stick msg" design is very nice, especially if you tend to grab the magazine well while firing. It does fit snug in the well, but its nothing that a coiple days at the range didn't fix, so that's fine by me. What the REAL issue with these magazines is, is that the spring is pushing WAY too hard on your rounds and causing a feeding issue. I spent 3 days with this magazine and fired 200 rounds with 5-round sessions. On average, I was having 2 malfunctions per 5-round magazine. Primarily was heavily a "light strike" on the primers and not firing the round. I tried to investigate the issue and I tested along side a Colt STANAG and a DURAMAG 10rd which concluded that the spring was putting too much upward pressure on the rounds and making the BCG work extra hard to push the rounds out and correctly seat them into the barrel.

Easy to transfer a 10/22 system into, didn't even read the instructions til after. Magazines fed like perfect, and no modification necessary to make parts fit. Takes an already fun little gun and makes it better. I was originally worried about the polymer quality, but I've dropped this several times at the outdoor range and it ate it up as well, no cracking or anything. In a world where you get what you pay for, I geel like I got a little bit more out of this. So im happy
