This product requires the remote battery assembly door to work with a TLR-1.
It works pretty much the same as pressing the temporary on switch. Double press and you get strobe.
Comes with a bunch of mounting options, but ultimately I opted to use velcro to make it easier to move it around from gun to gun.

Necessary for remote control

This is a necessary piece if you're going to put a remote control switch on your Streamlight TLR-1.
The product works fine, but it doesn't come with instructions. Thankfully, Streamlight's website has instructions on how to remove the standard battery assembly door. Reverse the instructions to put this one on.
