Great product, best bore sight I have ever had. I bought the triple duty in red beam with the self centering arbor. when you rotate the sight on the barrel it does have a very small amount of wonder but less than I have seen from most. took my rifle out to the range today and hit directly on center first shot at 25 yds. I would buy again.
Wonderful product. I didn't mind spending the money on something I should only have to buy once. I put it on a Remington 700P 300 win mag. very solid and fit perfect. I would defiantly buy again..
I ordered the 1" height and 1" scope ring set. they are great, very solid, and hold a zero. I only wanted an extra 5 moa since I have a 20 moa base but the amount of moa adjustment sleeves you put in doesn't seem to equal what you actually get. I now have the 10 moa sleeves in front to give me about 6 moa extra and not ten. this is taking into account the distance between the rings also. I will have to turn the front due to with this system, my windage is not centered and off by about 20 moa to the left. I don't know why but its not the gun, base, or the scope. This is all fine with me just going to be a pain turning the sleeves to get it back over to the right.
I will start off by saying that the only thing I didn't like is that optics planet nor the manufacture knows that this scope comes with optional tall turrets and a sun shade in the box. these items only come with the x18 (and 18x custom model) and not the x14 like I ordered first. I didn't realize for an extra $100 (price difference between the x14 and x18) that I would receive the additional tall turrets and sunshade due to spotting it in the owners manual for "what's included per model". I called optics planet and Nikon and neither said that this scope came with anything like that because that wasn't in their system. I returned the x14 and got the x18 anyway and guess what...came with the tall torrents and sunshade which both are worth more than the price difference alone.
The clarity isn't what I want at 1000 yards but this model is only $400.00. I still give it 5 stars because its a rock solid scope that always holds its zero (with a .30-06) and I love the tall turrets. I can see a 750 yard 18" plate perfect and an 18" plate at 1000 yards is doable. I would honestly say that the next step up from this would be a very expense Nightforce. Also, the Nikon Spot-on webpage is about %98 accurate with scope adjustments.
